The Chedi Andermatt

The Chedi Andermatt perfectly combines authentic Alpine chic with Asian design elements. The five-star deluxe hotel has 119 spacious rooms and suites in which traditional materials, such as warm woods and natural stone, create a stylish and intimate atmosphere. The hotel also offers a variety of excellent dining experiences, with guests enjoying the choice of fifive outstanding restaurants and bars. Guests can find peace and relaxation in the unique The Spa and Health Club, covering some 2,400 m².

In the 119 tastefully decorated rooms and suites Alpine chic meets Asian elegance, with stunning views over the Gemsstock, the village of Andermatt, the Schöllenen gorge, the Nätschen and the Oberalp area. Dark Alpine wood, soft leather armchairs, cosy sofas, panorama windows and fireplaces bring the magic of the mountain landscape into the comfortable, spacious rooms. Large bathtubs adorn bathrooms which boast heated, natural stone floors and separate rain showers. The doors to these spacious bathrooms can be closed in stages, offering guests the possibility of increasing the size of the living space or enjoying the privacy of a separate bathroom.

The cuisine at The Chedi Andermatt is a gastronomic statement, offering guests the choice of five outstanding dining venues. In The Restaurant, awarded with 14 GaultMillau points, four show kitchens serving Asian and European fare tempt guests with dishes prepared before their very eyes. 
Exceptional in the Swiss Alps is The Japanese Restaurant, which offers connoisseurs authentic Japanese delicacies at the sushi and sashimi bar and is rated with 17 GaultMillau points and, since October 2017, with a Michelin star. The Japanese by the Chedi Andermatt with its one Michelin star and its 15 GaultMillau points opened in December 2019 on the mountain station “Gütsch” at 2,300m altitude and is a top-class extension of the hotel’s The Japanese Restaurant.
The Wine and Cigar Library is the perfect place to while away the evening, inspired by the words largest cigar collection in a hotel with over 640 different formats, a fine selection of literature and sumptuously illustrated books. 

Wellness lovers can visit The Spa and take advantage of several baths and saunas (including a sauna and a Finnish sauna), a steam bath, a warm- and cold-water plunge pool and a hammam. Guests can relax as they wish while enjoying rejuvenating spa treatments in one of the ten spa suites. The Spa is deeply rooted in Far-Eastern philosophy and calls on traditional Asian healing arts. Manicures, pedicures and hairstyling are also available. The impressive 35-metre long sports pool with glass roof and the 12-metre long heated outdoor pool are also firm favourites.
