Perched at 2,448 metres, Spielboden restaurant is a short 12-minute cable car ride from Spielboden village station. Originally built in 1953 — before the Saas-Fee cable car system existed — this beloved spot has remained a favourite for tourists and locals alike, year-round. In winter, the large sunny terrace invites guests to enjoy lunch in the alpine light; in summer, marmots scamper nearby, eagerly accepting treats before their winter hibernation.
