San Montano Resort & Spa

Italy, Ischia

About the hotel

San Montano Resort & Spa on Ischia is a 5 star hotel overlooking the sea at the Bay of San Montano and the Gulf of Naples, surrounded by three hectares of parkland, at the heart of a wonderful Mediterranean garden. The hidden bays and coves, the rustic charm of the natural world, the thrill of witnessing the day dawn over Vesuvius, the mellow sound of the piano, all the while sipping on a cool “Lemontano”, as you wait for the sun to set in a red blaze that lights the Pontine Islands in the distance. All this makes for a uniquely Ischia getaway.

Restaurants & bars

Franco’s Restaurant

A panoramic sea view terrace for exclusive events, where the gastronomic experience makes the view of the Gulf of Naples even more special. The sea’s rich bounty takes centre stage at Franco’s, but the luscious, verdant island offers up exceptional homegrown produce to create dishes with harmonious and balanced combinations, where every flavour emerges while at the same time enhancing all the others. This is the alchemy of a kitchen with its roots steeped in the culture of the Mediterranean but that looks out to the wider world, with its scope being contemporary and international.

Sunset lounge

Live the Italian DOLCE VITA, with a glass of bubbly at sunset, underscored by an entrancing melody. Welcome to San Montano Sunset & Piano Bar, where Ambrogio, our head bartender, offers up his own creations and exciting twists on the best loved cocktails. The Sunset & Piano Bar is the perfect place to enjoy a breath-taking sunset with a unique drink in hand, enriched by the scents of the island, accompanied by a refined musical selection, with live performance from our pianist and harpist, or a DJ set.
