Pilot Beach Resort

The 5 star Pilot Beach Resort is located on the northwest shoreline of Crete, Greece, in the bay of Almyros next to the small fishing village of Georgioupolis, halfway between Chania (42Km) and Rethymno (21Km). It offers with its spacious public areas and the cretan architecture of its 39 low rise bungalows a unique combination of tradition, hospitality and luxury with the comforts of a state of the art hotel. It is surrounded by olive trees and is set directly on the sandy beach of Georgioupolis offering on the one side a free view of the Aegean Sea and on the other side of the White Mountains.

Pilot Beach Resort was established by Air Force General, George Papadakis, on the land of his ancestors, following his retirement from active duty. The first part to be completed was the bungalows on the beach and in May 1991 the hotel began operating as Pilot Beach. Today, the resort covers an impressive area of 150000m2, with 400m facing the most beautiful sandy beach of Crete, remarkable infrastructure including 450 units, 4 restaurants and 3 Bars, a SPA of 1500 m2 and state of the art conference facilities.
