An esoteric destination and hotel unlike any other, the Cour des Vosges instantly invites you to immerse yourself in the life of a noble French family dating back to the 16th century. A family of art lovers and collectors who have enjoyed collecting sculptures, ceramics, tapestries and furnishings for decades, representing a variety of artistic movements and the experiences of generations of art patrons. For Cour des Vosges, interior designers Yann Le Coadic and Alessandro Scotto turned to the history of Paris and explored the past like archaeologists to reveal its beauty, uniqueness and strength. A historic landmark with original painted ceiling beams and antique terracotta floors, the main theme of their design was to protect, preserve and respect the authenticity and spirit of the building. Evok welcomes guests to the former Hôtel de Montbrun, a 17th-century residence at 19 Place des Vosges. A unique and historic location, it was a royal square designed by Henry IV in 1605 and therefore the oldest square in Paris. In this exclusive historical location, every room or suite at this 5-star hotel overlooks Place Louis XIII and its magnificent houses with their recognizable pink brick facades and slate roofs.
Some consider it a mansion, while others consider it a castle. The Cour des Vosges is perceived as an exceptional residence, welcoming gourmets, hedonists, history buffs and Paris lovers. The butler hands over the key to the rooms and suites, each of which resembles an apartment. Each site recalls the architectural features of 17th century buildings. Every corridor seems to lead, as before, to a grand apartment.
