Castilla Termal Solares is set within an extensive park of century‑old trees, close to Santander and the Cantabrian coast. After its waters were declared of public utility in 1828, the establishment became the first spa resort in Cantabria during the Belle Époque. Now fully refurbished, it has regained its splendour while preserving its classical style — a true wellness destination surrounded by nature, just minutes from Santander and the region’s finest beaches.

The waters of the Fuencaliente spring are bicarbonated, chlorinated, with calcium and sodium, recommended for digestive, metabolic, anti‑inflammatory, and nervous system treatments. The hotel features a large indoor thermal pool of 849 square metres, holding 850,000 litres of mineral‑medicinal water, along with a children’s spa for little ones from three months of age.

The Contrast Therapy Circuit draws inspiration from ancient Roman baths. Numerous beauty and relaxation treatments, world therapies, and massages are also available. In addition to the gastro‑bar and summer terrace, El Manantial restaurant serves exquisite traditional Cantabrian cuisine with seasonal suggestions, following the slow food philosophy. Particularly famous are the fried squid and the Spanish cheesecake.
