A former 12th-century Romanesque abbey transformed into a unique experiential destination, Abadía Retuerta LeDomaine is a sensory haven where architecture, design, and nature merge seamlessly. Restored and majestically set on 700 hectares of vineyards, the property has been recognised with 3 MICHELIN Keys. The scent of vineyards, pure air, signature cuisine, the luxury of silence, pure flavours, and wines that move the soul — all this comes together in the Douro Valley. Twenty-seven rooms and three suites, carefully restored with unique style, overlook a sea of vineyards, offering guests an unforgettable memory.

Since early 2022, Abadía Retuerta has held its own Protected Designation of Origin, a European Union seal endorsing its wines as products of origin, quality, and tradition. This accreditation reflects the uniqueness of its soils and the maximum expression of its terroir, with grapes sourced exclusively from its own vineyards and produced in its own winery.

Cuisine reflects a commitment to local, seasonal produce from the garden, where wine inspires and enhances the gastronomic discourse — a unique experience of sober, local flavours. Santuario Wellness & Spa, inaugurated in 2015 in the former stables, spans over 1,000 square metres with 80% natural light. Water is extracted from a 120-metre-deep well, decalcified, and treated through reverse osmosis to achieve quality comparable to natural mineral water.

Art holds a special place, with modern and 15th-century furniture, a Renaissance, Baroque, and modern collection, alongside natural heritage and a recent sculptural addition by artist Eduardo Chillida.
