About the brand
Chevalier Paris, the embodiment of Parisian savoir-faire and an advocate for intimate, human-scale hospitality, welcomes you to experience the beating heart of the city in its unique pavilions.
A proudly family-owned and independent brand, Chevalier Paris has, over the years, embraced each of its hotels as cherished favorites. Under the stewardship of the Chevalier family, with a legacy spanning three generations in the world of Parisian hospitality, the group's properties narrate their deep-rooted passion for the enchanting city of Paris.
This story unfolds in the 1950s when the family patriarch, hailing from Auvergne, began assembling a portfolio of distinguished establishments in the western part of Paris. The torch was swiftly passed to his children, who inherited the iconic Passy, Franklin, and Ecu de France venues, along with an unwavering commitment to excellence. Inspired by grandeur and luxury, the son and daughter ventured into the world of hotels in the 1980s. Tragically, after the untimely passing of her brother, Madame Chevalier, a pioneer in a male-dominated domain, forged ahead with a groundbreaking vision that revolved around charm and personalized service. In 2008, her two sons, Jérôme, who played a pivotal role in the operational and business development, and Éric, who gradually transitioned from advisory to operational duties in 2020, joined her at the helm of the family enterprise.
The Pavillon de la Reine became a symbol of the burgeoning group. Its extraordinary location, intimate scale, and unmistakably Parisian ambiance set the standard for the brand. These principles guided the transformation of Hôtel de l'Élysée into Pavillon des Lettres in 2011 and the acquisition of Hôtel du Petit Moulin, a Christian Lacroix-designed gem in 2012. To underscore their exclusivity, all three hotels proudly joined the Small Luxury Hotels of the World collection.
In 2018, with the addition of Hôtel Le Saint, Chevalier Paris ventured across the Seine. The extensively refurbished and reimagined property, set to be unveiled as Le Pavillon Faubourg Saint-Germain in 2022, epitomizes the art of living according to Chevalier Paris. It embodies the values of a brand built on partner and team loyalty, cultivated through discretion and a relentless commitment to innovation, all in the pursuit of enhancing service quality.
Chevalier Paris: A signature of the Parisian hotel industry, where tradition meets modernity, and each guest is treated to an unforgettable experience.
