Types of accommodation
Guests can choose from seven types of room (Classic, Superior, Deluxe, Deluxe Corner view, Junior Suite, Master Suite, and Grand Suite), highlighting the hotel’s features and city views.
London-based design studio Sagrada (known for such notable projects as the London Art’s Club, Maison Breguet Paris and the St Regis Venice among others) oversaw the renovation of the hotel, creating spaces with an almost residential feel, inviting people to relax and unwind in the Barcelona sun. The division between the bathroom and the bedroom has been blurred by creating a wall of pale wooden slats, allowing natural light to filter through the windows into the innermost parts of the rooms. Natural materials such as wood and polished concrete have been used alongside soft earth tones to play with brightness and create a sense of warmth. Each piece of furniture is unique, inspired by the Catalan Noucentisme movement, which emerged as an alternative to Modernism in the early 20th century. The movement strove for values such as reason, precision and clarity, reflected in designs that favour clean lines, a reduction in colour and harmony. Custom pieces include lamps, headboards, chairs, mirrors, chaise lounges and coffee tables.
