Types of accommodation
The Hotel is divided into three different sections, Palace Wing, Garden Wing and Villa Lapa with a total of 109 rooms. The the new wing rooms and suites have been decorated with Portuguese style fabrics and furniture and different on each floor.
The 21 rooms and suites of the Count of Valencias's original palace, built in 1870, were also renovated in 2003 using Portuguese furniture made in the north of Portugal, in Pacos de Ferreira, where excellent craftsmen recreated furniture in the styles of D. João V, D . Maria I and D. Jose. Each room and suite in the palace has its own style; you'll find Art Deco, Colonial, Algarve and Neoclassical styles. Lapa Palace has styles to suit every taste.
The Count of Valenzas Suite and five other Deluxe Rooms are located on the 5th floor of the palace, the noble floor. These rooms have been carefully renovated using lamps, mirrors and furniture recovered from the original palace furniture. The golden leaves on the walls of Count Valensas's suite (originally part of the ballroom) were restored, as were the two large mirrors placed in the living room.
In all rooms of the palace, guests will find beautiful Portuguese Vista Alegre porcelain, created in 1824.
